A glorious day for a Slough and Windsor Running Day. Weather was perfect with a great turn out of vehicles. A great bit of organising from the Amersham and District group!

I spent the previous night with a few bus cranks from the North West and Devon near Stonehenge after a session of the Newbury Park and Ingatestone Bus Rally with the sponsorers One Railway.

So a foggish and cloudy day in Winchester, taking pictures of the days activity in a busy rally with many people out and about.

As ever FOKAB do a very good job with a very informative programme and well organised with plenty of choice. The statics were relocated to the Park and Ride this time. Vehicles I travelled on were the Wilts & Dorset VR, preserved Hants & Dorset VR, former Bournemouth (Thamesdown) fleetline and a Bristol RE...

So here we go. Timebus celebrated 20 years with running three routes in the Harrow area. A fine collection of vehicles they are. Thanks to Timebus for the day. Pictures illustrated away from the busy areas.

Also want to tank Haydn Davies for making the day "ten times" easier as a guide the credit goes to him for his "geographic knowledge" and ideas of what is a different outlook of the day.

I missed last years event to a different rally. So some pictures of the day out in the Heart of Surrey.

Rather than throwing all the buses on here (some that always appear) I selected a few of the vehicles past and present of the days events. Hope you enjoy.

So another Peter Cartwright organised day. Worth a visit and so much to do. Again the weather was the enemy which kept people away (same as Slough), I so hope this does not happen to Amersham later this year. Some of the vehicles out to play. A trip on T792 was great as well as I took the opportunity for some variety of shots with the great vehicle.

A wet day for the South East of England. I hate it when rallies clash and I wanted to go to Slough but also wanted to do something different. So a drive to Maidstone to see the Arriva Southern Counties Driver of the year. Winner goes onto Blackpool for the UK driver of the year. All serious stuff so I took to enjoy a leisurely day around the place. Even to driving a bus myself!

I heard so many good things about this rally in the past. Last year I was in Manchester for their London Bus Rally (note again clashing). Though some reason it needed some more action, buses were early (certainly in Lingfield they were). But here goes....

A great running day and one I was looking forward to for a very long time. Thank you to organisers and operators for their hard work and to say their hospitality for being accomodating to make the day pleasurable. The reality was it was on my doorstep and brought some memories (so I am not that old but the DM was a memory of Sutton Bus era). The sun was kind to us and a challenge in terms of how spaced out the routes were. Did make fun though. So enjoy some of the shots in different locations.

One of the best of the rallies of the year. So East Grinstead next.

First rally for 2007, weather was good a bit cold and wet at the end but I gather a busier successful rally. Sorry for the picture quality the weather was a bit too odd at times of the day.

Yesterday was some local gear but I was called to go to Birmingham and back. This trip was nearly put off but thankfully I was being picked up part way for a trip I was looking forward to. We take up to my final rally for the year up in Lincoln. A great rally to end the year for me personally, and a great variety illustrated by the team up in Lincoln. I did miss riding a VR maybe next time.

Yes I know two rallies in one day. So a quick exit from Brislington I did want to stay but took fate and took a drive down there. Just in time...

A fantastic day and thanks to Stagecoach East Kent for a great range of vehicles. I was fortunate to grab the procession for the buses to reach the depot though I gather they did not start at Canterbury as planned.

Pictures of Solent Blue Line (Bristol VR) (NDL 637M) on 205 Bucks Horn Oak. Bristol RE, TRU 947J to Lasham and back. Then another Bristol VR, former Wilts & Dorset but now with Damory sister company to Four Marks (it had a bit of trouble).

I have had to divide the collection into two but there was a high presence of routenasters.

Stagecoach in South Wales organised the Centenary 1906-2006 celebrations at Trehafod near Porth at the Rhondda Heritage Park. Some pictures of the event followed by some Cardiff observations

Quick hop over the M62 across the Pennines into Yorkshire to catch up with another routemaster in new life RM776. A huge thanks to the staff at Keighley Bus Museum for allowing us to visit their site.

Weather I heard was not so good down in East Grinstead but with months of planning this event was a chance to go furtherafield with a London feel.

I have divided my collection into three sections. The two other sections illustrate the buses on show on the airfield. While this selection shows other activities.

My special thanks go to London General for allowing them to be apart in their activities. Also to First for being great troopers. Great to see others so many to name but the Stagecoach people nice to see you guys. And as ever the organisers of the event. The downer was the weather which we cannot blame anyone but the weather.

So a quick exit from Clapham Junction, through to Shephards Bush up on the A40 and we find ourself in High Wycombe.
